The Food Institute and OFW Law, the nation's premier FDA/USDA law firm, will help guide you through FDA's implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) as it aims to ensure the U.S. food supply is safe by shifting the focus of federal regulators from responding to contamination to preventing it.

FDA issued two major Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rules on preventive controls for human food and another final rule on animal feed. The agency submitted its final rule on foreign supplier verification programs to OMB, which must be sent for publication by Oct. 31.  It will likely not be available until early November for review as a result.

The Food Institute and premier FDA/USDA law firm OFW Law recently offered part 10 of their 12-part webinar series on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The event on Sept. 24 focused on the first two final rules to be published: Preventative Controls for Human Food and Preventative Controls for Animal Food. Click here to register.

All ten webinars have already explored newer rulings. You can purchase the 12-part series and have on-demand access to recorded versions of the nine earlier sessions, as well as access to all future FSMA webinars. To purchase the entire series, click here.
