Merger and Acquisition activity continues to be a driving
force within the food sector. Join Karen G. Bokat, Consulting Counsel
with Wiley Rein LLP and Mary L. Burke, Principal at Lakeshore
Food Advisors, as they explore the complexities of Mergers and Acquisitions
in a one-hour webinar. This webinar will
evaluate Merger and Acquisition activity in the recent past and concentrate
on offering strategies for the future. Explore the key factors which must
be considered when determining whether a company is potentially appealing
to buy, or sell. Analysis on expanding through acquisition, as well as
economizing operations through consolidation, will be discussed by our
panel. A legal perspective of Mergers and Acquisitions in the food industry
will explain how the government - specifically the Justice Department
and Federal Trade Commission - evaluates each potential union and why,
they may or may not be considered favorably. The session is designed for food and beverage retailers,
manufacturers, restaurants, suppliers, distributors, consultants to the
industry, bankers, financial analysts, trade press and others with an
interest in what will certainly continue to be a topic of interest in
2011 and beyond.
