Signs Do More than Sell Product...They're the Key to Branding Your Store

A message to IGA Retailers from...

In the grocery industry signs are invaluable. Just think for a moment of all the things signs can communicate. There's INFORMATION (nutritional facts, recipes, local, organic, WIC-approved); VALUE (Shocker Price, BOGO, Half Price); URGENCY (while supplies last, limit 1 please, 1 free with every $10 purchase) and IDENTITY (the IGA Red Oval).

That last one—IDENTITY—is perhaps the most important utilization of signs for an IGA Retailer because it's the badge of honor that defines who you are, differentiates you from the competition, and keeps your local IGA shoppers coming back again and again. Each time your customers see the Red Oval, you are communicating your local roots and sending the powerful "IGA Hometown Proud" branding message. That's why it's important to boldly brand your store with exterior signage, enter and exit decals, store hour signs, aisle markers, name badges, and cart logos.

But that's only part of your brand story. You also have the opportunity to show your shoppers that you care about them and your community by branding with IGA program POP. With My IGA you remind shoppers why their IGA is their favorite place to shop. With signage highlighting IGA Exclusive Brand's new look, you let them know that your trusted, quality-assured product line will help manage their money in tough times and beyond. And with IGA Promise signage, you bring the entire branding message on home by demonstrating to shoppers that their IGA is now and will always be at the heart of your community.
