Five of Auntie Anne's top 10 performing locations in 2009 were in airport terminals, reported CNNMoney.com. Meanwhile, sales at Wolfgang Puck Worldwide's airport units were "trending up" at the end of the year, while fine dining was still down, stated president Joe Essa. Airport restaurants are registering increased gains due to their presence past airport security and airlines reducing meal service, stated Anthony Joseph, president of Concessions International, a management company that runs Wendy's and Panda Express airport locations. Nestle SA is seeking acquisitions in emerging markets, calling them a "priority," and stated it ruled out bidding for Cadbury Plc because its own confectionery unit is big enough, according to CFO Jim Singh. Wholesalers are working with retailers to adjust ad schedules after freezing weather in Florida interrupted the harvest season. Commodities such as berries, citrus and greens from the Southeast were slated for promotion, but now have supply questions. Retail ads may go more heavily toward Texas citrus instead of Florida citrus, or California berries instead of Florida strawberries, to redirect commodity promotions, reported The Packer Online.
